SAP EWM Basic and Advanced License Differences

Embedded EWM is offered within S/4HANA under two licensing models. Basic EWM is included in the standard S/4HANA license and does not require an additional fee. Advanced EWM requires a separate license, and the Advanced license fee is applied at the warehouse (warehouse number) level. The use of Advanced functions is confirmed under “Acknowledge Use of Advanced Functions” in customizing and is checked during license audits.

The Basic / Advanced distinction applies only to the embedded scenario. Decentralized deployment is always covered by the Advanced license.
