Salesforce Commerce Cloud WebDAV

In today’s world, retailers need to engage customers across multiple channels and devices. Salesforce Commerce Cloud gives retailers the ability to deliver a consistent shopping experience across all touchpoints, including mobile apps and websites.

What is Salesforce Commerce Cloud?

Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a platform that helps you transform your business by enabling you to run your entire commerce operations in one place — from marketing and merchandising to fulfillment and customer service. It combines commerce content management with e-commerce application development and order management capabilities to create a single platform for selling products online, in retail stores and through call centers.

Commerce Cloud gives you the power to build personalized customer experiences across all channels — mobile, web and social media — while driving sales and increasing customer loyalty. Salesforce Commerce Cloud helps you manage your entire customer experience from start to finish: from engaging new customers with personalized merchandise recommendations in store or online, to fulfilling orders from multiple sales channels with real-time inventory updates.

Salesforce Commerce Cloud lets you:

  • Easily create powerful personalized shopping experiences across online, mobile and social channels;
  • Automatically manage inventory and orders;
  • Deliver a seamless omnichannel customer experience across every touch point; and
  • Provide personalized recommendations based on the customer's purchase history.

Getting Orders from Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware) to SAP as IDoc

Salesforce Commerce Cloud has an option to put each order as a file to a WebDAV server. WebDAV works like SFTP in this context. Then you can watch the WebDAV directory and map/convert each order file to ORDERS05 IDoc, and send them to SAP ERP system.
